(More customer reviews)This text is very outdated (early 20th century) but it is an interesting read. The author was actually present for the openings of some of the most famous tombs in the Valley of the Kings, so you know the info herein is not up-to-date. He's recorded a great number of scarabs and presents line drawings of them and their inscriptions. There are more illustrations and provenance listings than main text. A fun addition to the library of a student of Egyptology, but hardly an essential one.
