The author gives a description of the political and religious situation in each period. The cosmogonies, funerary customs, literature and the role of religion are clearly detailed. The last two parts of this work offer excellent primary and secondary bibliographic sources, as well as a list of the most important religious sites in Egypt. This is an excellent reference for students and experts in the field of Egyptology.
