(More customer reviews)Melissa Applegate has written an inspired clear, concise, and very accessible book about the art, symbolism, and metaphysics of the Ancient Egyptians. Not only is this work informational but it is also experiential. The attentive reader can find secrets placed skillfully between the lines of each page revealing little known processes and dynamics of the spiritual practices of the ancients. Many books on this subject are often superficial, too erudite, or fundametnally flawed in their interpretation of the spiritual world of the ancient Egyptians. Not so with this book. It contains all the depth and insight one could hope for in a form that is accessible and easy to read for even the beginner into Egyptian spirituality. Beginners and long time students of the Egyptian Book of Life will find this book a true treasure. Kudos Melissa!
