This book traces the history and use of hieroglyphs by the Pharoahs as well as a description of the hieroglyphs and translation of the hieroglyphs themselves as they were translated by Champollion the first man to decipher them. There is also a list of the pharoahs and other rulers of Egypt illustrated by their Cartouches.
