The text contains a wealth of facts about all aspects of Egyptian tomb building, from construction methods and architectural styles to the decoration of the tomb's walls. The text also contains overviews of the various funerary texts found in the tombs ("The Book of Gates", etc.).
The illustrations are well chosen and beautifully reproduced. There are hundreds of photographs, with many in color, as well as floor plans and maps. Many of the photos have been rarely, if ever, published in previous books.
I would recommend this book without reservation.
