This is no mere picture book and Hancock is no Velikovsky. This book has a message of pivotal importance to all humans. It rolls back the horizon of human knowledge to unknown epochs, to a prior high-civilization with technological skills we may not even possess today. Hancock's claim is no less than that. He proves that the monumental layouts of ancient Tiwanaku, Gizeh and Ankor are actually based on star-patterns from 10,500 B.C. and that they contain the coded numbers of the earth's 26,000 year precessional zodiac cycle. Talk about ante-diluvian amnesia! If this theory is correct, then a high civilization existed at or before the 11th Millennium B.C., located in the equatorial regions, with the ability to travel world-wide, while most other humans were still in the stone age. One may ask why are there no inscriptions in stone from this civilization? That mystery may be resolved in due course. More importantly, I think this basic hypothesis is very plausible. With new dating techniques, we must now reevaluate the entire basis of pre-history which, until now, been based on stale eurocentric + mid-eastern cultural preconceptions limited to notions about ice caps and Cro-Magnons inexplicably leading to the rise of the Sumerians, Babylonians, through a series of Indus valley migrations. These findings will surely force the world's archeologists to reappraise those areas of the planet not covered by ice in the period 20,000 to 10,000 BC. I predict that the impact of this theory over the long term may mirror that of Darwin's Origin of the Species. Heaven's Mirror is a disturbing master-work in every respect. My sincere wish is that conventional archeologists should hold back from scorning Mr. Hancock. I ask them to open up to the new evidence with equanimity and address it with a scientific rather than emotive response.

The Stargate Conspiracy: The Truth about Extraterrestrial life and the Mysteries of Ancient Egypt Review

The Stargate Conspiracy: The Truth about Extraterrestrial life and the Mysteries of Ancient Egypt

I read this book and found it quite interesting, if at times a bit hard to keep straight due to the diversity of the materials provided. But I did find it useful as a portrayal of a group, or groups, of rather spooky "New Agers", in some type of common effort with maverick archeologists, Christian fundamentalists, intelligence-connected types, etc., whose agendas appear quite murky. The authors admit they do not quite know what these connections mean, but the connections do indeed seem to be there, and I found the account fascinating, if in the end still quite puzzling.
Other readers, as judged from the other reviews here, clearly have widely varying views on the value of the book, and so it evidently will not appear to everyone.
One shortcoming cited scornfully by a couple of earlier reviewers dealt with the lack of an index. I bought the original, hardcover British version of the book when in first appeared, and it had a 20-page index, which made the book much easier to use.The publishers of the US reprint evidently have a rather low opinion of American readers, and thus elected to delete the index, presumably in order to save a few cents per volume. This strikes me as despicable, and readers (or potential readers) should be aware that the actual authors of the book indeed included a very extensive index.

In recent years, alternative historians have gained remarkable insight into the mysteries of ancient Egypt-but according to Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince, their discoveries tie into a dangerous conspiracy nearly fifty years in the making. At the center of this conspiracy is a group of respected, powerful individuals who believe that the ancient Egyptian gods are real extraterrestrials who will soon return to earth. The conspirators have intimate and exclusive knowledge of this momentous second coming-but they insist on keeping it to themselves. In this riveting, well-researched book, Picknett and Price reveal what this conspiracy means for the rest of mankind-and expose the insidious motivations of the individuals and organizations behind it..."Picknett and Prince are first-class storytellers and their magical mystery tour is totally enthralling." Babylon's Banksters: The Alchemy of Deep Physics, High Finance and Ancient Religion Review

Babylon's Banksters: The Alchemy of Deep Physics, High Finance and Ancient Religion
Average Reviews:

Joe Farrell has written three books about the Great Pyramid and several more about the Dark Physics involved with post-World War II black ops. ("Black" in this case referring to Alchemy and the perverse uses it can be applied to.)
In this one, he skips to a subject deep on our minds, or at least a lot of our minds: Money, where it comes from, whence it vanished, and all that. How does money relate to Ancient Religions, Black Ops (still alchemy, but the deep physics kind) and guys with names like A. Hitler and A. Lincoln?
Believe it, they do. Farrell insists this book is an intro, with no agenda to connect every dot possible, but with the cascade of current events proving with no additional help that our "financial system" is crackers, the dots come pre-connected and BABYLON'S BANKSTERS now provides a sort of tourist guide for the deeply peeved and perplexed.
Oddly, the one thread in the book (Nazi Germany) that has provided the most eerie material previously is almost redundant here. Hitler's inspiration for the Reich's flipping the bird to the international "banksters" (Banker + Gangster) was clearly Abraham Lincoln and his greenbacks, and despite Farrell's linkage of Hitler's finance with Germany's Nazi-era skunk works, the basic point was the same.
Money serving the work of citizens means money that is government issued to expand with growth, not tote up the debt to insane levels, which private bankers insist upon. The US Federal Reserve is doing to the USA what Weimer did to Germany and the result will be roughly the same EXCEPT the USA already has nukes. When the USA splits into factions the nukes will be used. If Gettysburg was bad in the 1860s, wait till the modern glow-in-the-dark version.
As grim as this may seem, it all fits well with the fact that the end of World War II was neither rational nor neat. The establishment of the Post-WWII security state in the USA and elsewhere appear now as almost total frauds. Germany was defeated in 1945, 65 years ago. Why are US troops still there? To stop Russia? From doing what? During much of the later Cold War, bankers were loaning money to the USSR for better rates than any American could get. Farrell's book makes you realize there was plenty going on subrosa, and all the hidden (occult?) shenanigans of the Post War years are bubbling up to the surface right now.
Farrell's real feat here is to put what is going on in front of us into a unique, but usable and readable, perspective. As things are speeding up as I write, it's very likely the value of this book will go up. More awareness may mean more intelligent dealing with the fallout of the economic disasters befalling us. Put that way, guidebooks like BABYLON'S BANKSTERS may help move the world toward saner and better economic decisions. We can hope anyway.

In this latest installment of his remarkable series of books of alternative science and history, Joseph P. Farrell outlines the consistent pattern and strategy of bankers in ancient and modern times, and their desire to suppress the public development of alternative physics and energy technologies, usurp the money creating and issuing power of the state, and substitute a facsimile of money-as-debt. Here, Farrell peels back the layers of deception to reveal the possible deep physics that the "banksters" have used to aid them in their financial policies.

Feral House also published Farrell's Philosopher's Stone: Alchemy and the Secret Research for Exotic Matter.

The Cosmic War: Interplanetary Warfare, Modern Physics and Ancient Texts Review

The Cosmic War: Interplanetary Warfare, Modern Physics and Ancient Texts

In COSMIC WAR, Dr Farrell tackles a subject previously muddled if not thoroughly mucked beyond redemption by the likes of Z. Sitchen and E. Von Daniken. If you are not put off by the ruthless wackiness this subject has already inspired, Farrell will repay your patience many times over.
The book's premise is that Planet Earth was, at minimum, one of the proverbial ants under the dancing elephants at some point at least ten thousand years ago, but more likely much more distant in time from the present. It was a war, a real war, in "heaven" if you like, but very decidedly remembered by most world cultures: Farrell's strength as a researcher is finding nooks and crannies you'd never imagine existed at all, in folklore and lurid biblical accounts of giants, as one example, that, once assembled and placed in a reasonable context, actually support the case for this ancient but galaxy-shattering war.
And make no mistake: Farrell is not outlining some penny-ante Star Wars type shoot-em-up. As another example, he is able to include fairly recent and well-vetted research and speculation about pulsars which, placed in context, indicate this war was, from our point of view, almost vast beyond our ability to imagine. Farrell wisely frames it all as techical speculation, but there is no doubt that human prehistory has some real shockers coming for H Sap. When these shockers start to make the newspapers, I don't doubt they'll look at least something like Farrell's outline indicates. Unless the truth is worse than any of us are capable of speculating, that is (and there is a chance of that, too.)
Minor caveats are probably called for: The book treats texts of a religious nature (Genesis, eg) as allegorical accounts of real history, far removed from their actual source events in time and then redacted down to morality tales. This might be annoying to scriptural literalists of at least two monotheisic religions, so exercise discretion if gifting a local pastor or rabbi.
That aside, THE COSMIC WAR is that greatest of oddities, unabashed speculation that does justice to its subject. With so much "alternative" hisory, science and religion in the hands of cranks and quacks, this present book is an oasis of sanity and a perfect template for the up and coming researcher who wants to see this sort of thing DONE RIGHT.
The Cosmic War, no more and no less, is the way these subjects should have been handled from the start. Had researchers on, say, Atlantis been as careful and bold as Farrell, Plato's story would have had a distinguished academic pedigree by now. Imagine that!

This work presents the full history of the Exploded Planet hypothesis. There is ample evidence across our solar system of cataclysmic and catastrophic destruction events, and many planets are scarred from incredible impacts, and teeter in their orbits from unexplained causes. Rejecting naturalist and materialist assumptions of catastrophism forwarded by other researchers, Farrell seriously asserts that the causes are based in ancient myths of a Cosmic War in the heavens. Incorporating extraterrestrial artefacts, cutting-edge ideas in contemporary physics, and the texts of ancient myths into his argument, Farrell maintains that an ancient interplanetary war was fought in our own solar system with weapons of extraordinary power and sophistication. The book includes: secret technology behind the ancient Tablets of Destinies, the ancient texts telling of such destructions: from Sumeria (Tiamats destruction by Marduk), Egypt (Edfu and the Mars connections), Greece (Saturns role in the War of the Titans) and the ancient Americas; ancient and current mechanisms which could explode planets; and, the true scientific reason for our solar system's asteroid belt.

Fingerprints of the Gods Review

Fingerprints of the Gods

In his intriguing work, Graham Hancock offers a number of mysteries regarding Humanity and Civilization, and then proceeds to write his conclusions. I must say I found his ideas quite plausible, mostly because he is not alone in this field and many other authors, working independently, have also published similar books, or works that deal with areas that coincide with Hancock's main conclusions. It is amazing, though, to read so many of the negative comments loaded with animosity and almost personal loathing of not only the book, but of the author as well. Also, to those readers who patronizingly tell the rest of us to read real science, or check with real archaeologists, the truth is that scientists are every bit as passionate about their dogmas, as religious fanatics are about theirs. Peer review is all very well, as long as you don't deviate from the established paradigm. Otherwise your career as a scientist is in serious jeopardy. It happened to geologist Virginia Steen-McIntyre, who went ahead with her dating of a Mexican site: she was fired, her career ended, and the date for the site was established at a less provocative age that didn't threaten conventional wisdom. Therefore a message to those who trust "science" will provide the answers: it will, but since science is made by humans, imperfection at all levels is part of the baggage. The so-called "Anomalous Objects" in museums fill rooms, almost nobody gets to see them, and they are there, stashed away, because they do not fit with our traditional view of history, geology, archaeology, etc. Graham Hancock has simply published a book that forces us to question the validity of the information previously absorbed, and brings forward ideas from other people which have as much validity as the traditionally taught history of Egyptians or Mayans. The truth is, when the evidence presented by archaeologists, egyptologists, and other professionals is examined critically, the traditional school is very far from convincing. This does not mean that the general public is ignorant or gullible. It means that when we cannot build a replica of the Great Pyramid today, with our technology (the Japanese tried and failed, and theirs was a far smaller "scale" replica), but are expected to believe that copper-tools wielding Egyptians could (2.3 million blocks of stone; weights going from 1.5 tons to 15 and 17 tons; "killer" slope of 52 degrees; near perfect alignement; perfect 90-degree corners; perfectly cut diorite blocks, and so on), then is when inquisitive, intelligent people wonder, How is that possible? Since traditional science provides answers that prove usatisfactory because they really feel like nonsense, people will look for alternative scenarios. Graham Hancock provides such scenario. He may be wrong, but his points are as solid, or more, than those of the now-accepted school of thought.
