I highly recommend this book for those who are keeping up with the excavation work that archaeologist Charles Bonnet is doing in Kerma (Sudan). This book is a masterpiece. The photos are excellent and the cultural history of this ancient civilization is well written. Bonnet continues to enrich our understanding of one of the first Kingdoms of Nubia.
